The article “Advertisements-manipulation of innocent people” basically talks about the growth of advertisement. These days, advertisements are everywhere; magazines, new papers, TVs and radios stations. The advertising industry is growing at a very quick paste and is used to create certain awareness and inform the consumer about the variety of products that is available on the market. Therefore, today, advertisements aren’t informative but much more persuasive then before. Marketing companies only want to convince consumers to buy their products. Consumers are becoming more and more naïve. For example, young women or teenagers see beautiful ladies on TV or in magazines and think they can look as perfect as them. But they have been successfully manipulated. Women and men in magazines have been so digitally retouched that it isn’t their image anymore! They have been completely transformed. Marketing companies play with the emotional and psychological side of consumers. They know how perfect they want to be and they are ready to do more and more to attract the most consumers possible. Finally, marketing companies use more and more manipulative strategies through out TV, magazines, radio stations and more to attract the most consumers possible. Stéphanie Bél
I hope this blog will raise people awareness of the fact that the only goal on which companies focus is persuading people to "buy buy buy buy". This, to the detriment of everybody.

I think people are being manipulated by marketing companies to buy always more. Therefore, they are more aware then before when they buy because they ask themselves what will be the impact in buying a certain product especially the environmental impact.

The thing is that they can't objectively concentrate on the impacts of the purchase of a specific product because they were 'manipulated' and exposed to all the advertisments. This is effective especially in the fashion marketing industry. They use bony models and retouch them so much that in some cases you wouldn't even recognize the model in real life!
